polar alignment video for eq5 mount

Hi all,
Can anyone please :help:with a video showing how to polar aline a eq5 mount , ive found videos for the northern hemisphere but nothing for us down under, also has anyone got any mods or tips for improving my new Skywatcher Black Diamond 8" scope , i got a refund on the GSO scope and purchased the BD , very well made scope compared to the GSO (mirror problems), all i need now is some good scope weather so i can try it out.

G'day Steve, Mate, I too have been searching the net for Polar alignment - Southern (forgotten) Hemisphere. Seems that all telescopes all have the same Northern Polar scope, and the only thing we can use on that is Octans, which is bloody hard to see. In the interest of education, I hope that I am not breaking any forum rules (cause this forum rules), and provide a link to another Astronomy (Worldwide) site, with an Australian community, on which is a topic on alignment in the Southern Hemisphere. Moderators, if I have done the wrong thing, I apologise. I don't want to break any rules and if I have done so, I'm sure that I will be reminded of the fact that I have. I found this link quite useful in theory though I'm yet to put it into practise. It does raise a question that I will start a new thread on, to hopefully get some answers.

Got a better technical understanding of how to polar align after trying the simulator :thumbsup: and within 3 weeks or so was able to drift align easily

The astronomyforum.net thread is quite uesful because it gives a practical explanation of how to actual get the "tools" to do it correctly by that bloke "Vinnie" - yes I've read that article too and it all helps!! :D

Have been busy , work ect, will have a look at the links today , got the scope out the other night, took some pics of Jupiter (very poor seeing at the moment) , just guessed on the alignment and was pretty close.
