Hi all, this is what we saw last night but none of us had a camera set-up att.
Our newest member, Andrew, just gave me this link to a chap who was 'prepared for it'. Travel from NW to NE. Very bright, ~ 0 /-1. Nice pic. :D L.

Yep the good old ISS, it's worth printing a list out from Heavens above and just sitting outside satellite spotting. One night HRH and I spotted two satellites that passed each other at the zenith, going in opposite directions, they looked as though they would collide. The H A tables showed them to be spy satellites, one russian and 1 US.

Was completely dumbstruck tonight. Good amount of light in the sky, just spotting the first objects to become visible, saw an aircraft heading NW - and the wife commented on two... Looked like Rigel was going backwards - fast. Then realised the BIG light was the ISS - gee it moves out.
Before the end of twilight, no equipment (Mk 11 eyebal) - we were pretty pleased!

We saw the IIS at Linden as well. It was soooo bright that I thought it had to be a plane at first. Amazing view :)

My favourite satellite sight was three of them moving across the together in a triangle formation. They never drifted apart at all and I watched them almost from horizon to horizon. My guess is that they were spy sats as well. Easy to see how people less in the know can claim to have seen UFO's :)
