G'day again folks! Little story for ya!

With an impending trip to Mount Kosciuszko rapidly approaching, I thought it pertinent to get some more training in. There is a hill in Canberra's ranges that I have driven past a hundred times thinking, One day I'll climb that."

With the property owners permission, I donned a 20 kilo backpack of food, water, clothing, shelter, camera equipment and other essentials...

Full Story and photos here (http://barryarmsteadphotography.webs.com/expeditionjournal.htm).

I hope you enjoy the read!

They sure are Ron. It's just a shame that the clouds keep clearing every morning when I need them in the opposite direction from the sun....

Great story Baz. You are a real jack-the-lad aren't you !

I'm embarrassed to admit that the spiders would have seen me off before we'd reached base camp one :P

LOL! Thanks Paul. Actually, with the amount of spiders permeating almost every aspect of my life, (countless), and not one bite thus far, I am beginning to wonder if they bite at all!

Maybe they should be less feared or thought of as vicious. What if we all think of them as 8 legs of cuddliness?

Hi Baz great story and pictures. Those granite tors look fantastic against the backdrop of Canberra.

It's really quite amazing what you can find in the local area.

Cheers

Thanks Ric. Mate, I have been exploring Canberra for a long time now and I have discovered some AMAZING places. My google map of the area is so covered with yellow pins, I have to zoom in a long way to see the ground....

Thanks Paul. It was a pretty place to sleep for the night.
