Hi gang!

For the last two years, I have been taking walking and riding groups up to Mount Koskiuszko to camp on (near) the summit overnight and greet Australia day dawn as the sun breaks the distant horizon.

Last year it was SPECTACULAR!

If anyone would like to join our growing group up there this year, please PM me for details!

I did a timelapse of the Milky Way up there in 2009 as well and it is an excellent place to set up a camera and intervalometer next to your tent.

Mods, I hope it's cool to post this here. If not, feel free to move it or remove it if appropriate.

Baz.

The video had me right up until the "creator" part.

G'day Baz, Awesome video, it looks like a track worth making. Sorry to say I won't be joining the group, it's just a bit of a journey for me. I hope this year will be just as spectecular.

PS. No drama with the creator part, I'm a Pagan boy myself, I believe in a little more than our existence being just a lucky phenomenin.

Regards, Dutch

Dudes, there is no need to discuss that here (As per IIS TOS). I'm happy to chat about that stuff off-forum if you want, but the topic is an invitation to go for a ride up Mount Kosciuszko on Australia day.

I will remove the links as they are too great a temptation for flaming for some people.

Looks like I have about 20 people of all ages coming now. The invitation is still there for anyone who wants to come and do something a little bit different for the day. You are MOST welcome!

I am making my Australian statement for the day by camming up all my gear, bike, pack, sunnies, gloves (and my face on the day) in honour of all those Australian Soldiers who have sacrificed their lives defending the Australian way of life.

I have encouraged the other attendees so far to come up with their own positive Australian statement.
