Or so said the national news at 6.

Port lincoln SA had 45 deg's & I'm situated 65 kliks nth of there. We're usually 4-6 deg's hotter than that.

Me & the wife are wetting towels & freezing them in the freezer & draping them over us, lol...The air-con broke down last week of course!!

Nice cool change tomorrow....I'm predicting only 45 deg's! :confuse3:

Prolly get a 1st degree burn if I touch my telescope OTA! :help:

better than the 3rd degree burns you will get if you tap micki on the shoulder and put in a request for a little quiet time together....

Hottest 72 hours in Adelaide for over 60 years. It was 43 here today and they're predicting 41 for tomorrow, it's still 35 at my place now at 11pm.

Ian, we get more clear skies in SA (in normal years) (especially for a coastal capital city) compared to most states I have come to realise. Probably only the WA wheatbelt would be comparable for moderately habitated country i would imagine, ( and the whole of inland 'strailya of course )
sometimes its a curse as much as a blessing
cya from sweatbox city :P
PS S.O.S send ice! to PO box asi Cummins SA

It was 45 here in melbourne when I was just out in the car before. Turned it on (with air con) 10 mins before I had to leave to cool it down because it sits in full sun :(.

Temps reaching into the mid 42's there in Melbourne, Severe Weather alerts too, but enough about that state....

Cold change has now reached Adelaide, Strong winds and dust storms and smoke around the state as I type. 34c here now.

Yeah, it is cooler here but still warm. Am planning on going down to port Willunga to shoot the poles in the sea and do some landscapes. With the cloud around and some Cokin filtering. Thank goodness the change has arrived. My power bill must be getting enormous.

Yeah hot stuff, thank God we dont live in Ceduna, 46.6, the bitumen on the roads was starting to melt. Some of the local railway lines here in Adelaide were starting to buckle as well. The temp in my observatory was 58deg C needless to say I removed 95% of my equipment. One thing it would have done is kill all the spiders, too blooody hot for this little black duck I am afraid.

And it was also the hottest recorded temp in Sydney as far as records go only a few weeks ago.

And the people we voted for still insist it is nothing.

This planet is heading for what Mars looks like now boys and girls, and I think it is too late to stop it.

ciao
