Hi Everyone,

Finally got out to do some imaging last night. :)

NGC1977: Meade LXD55 SN10, Canon 300D, 10x2min, ISO1600. MPCC, UHC-S Filter.

I'm not particularly happy with this shot. The subframes were very noisey and the stars looked a little bloated to me. Focus seemed OK. Also I simply did not get enough frames. I might try again tonight to see if i can improve it.

Comments welcome as always

Cheers

you would be surprised how much moisture was still in the air last night. I gave up getting the scope out because i could hardly see the southern cross and only just make out orion. The city light were highlighting the moisture ridden air. then about 10-11pm it cleared and stars were great, then it came back like earlier. I like what you have done though itchy

I guess things were a little better than that here last night. Still very humid of course, but a light breeze kept the dew at bay. Of course the downside of the breeze was that it gave the scope a shake every now and then.
