Some very sad news here on the Blackbutt Range,The property manager from the station next door, came to our place this afternoon and asked if I could bring a zoom lens camera down to his homestead,as the historic cemetary was washing away.
This was a lovely stone wall cemetary 170 years old.He said bring a zoom,I was trying to comprehend the loss. But new the 50D had the 17-55,I imaged this was enough to get close enough.we did have much time to change the lenses
So we went down as close as we could,he said the very last tomb stones were still visiable above the ranging waters. When we got there there was little left.
You can just make out the gate.I took a image for the november photo challange of this cemetary I will try and post it latter
Anyhow heres' whats' left, this is a real loss and cannot be replaced. The third image is only taken two months ago,I have a whole series of those images,Thats the real reason why these modern day cameras are so useful,at least there is something to look at.:(
Chris :(
