Finally had a bit of relatively stable air with fair seeing and was able to image Jupiter just after dusk on the 4th - good enough to show that the SEB continues to re-establish. Seeing was still OK the next morning and the broadband saturn image shows part of the storm (L3~320 from WinJUPOS) and what is probably Tethys. Two other moons are visible on the raw feed, so intend to do a multi-point stack to see if they can be recovered as well. The colour image of Saturn is noisy, but OK and also shows part of the storm. Imaged Venus in deep red to replace a dud one used in a previously posted composite - came out well. Overall a good night. Thanks for looking.

Hi Rob. thanks for your comments. Yes it was nice to finally get some postable images. regards Ray.
Hi Luis. Thanks for your comments. Current scope is a GSO 8inch f4 Newtonian on an HEQ5pro, Televue 3x Barlow with extender to get out to a bit over 4m fl, (L)RGB filters and a DMK21 camera. Had to spend a lot of time on collimation and thermal management to get anything useful from the scope. Almost all processing done in Registax and IRIS. Regards.

Super Ray - a great bunch of captures.
The Jupiter is sweet - lots of detail and I guess the SEB is back!?

hi Matt. Thanks for the comments. There sure is a lot of dark stuff in the SEB region again. The gas giants are going through amazing changes right now - it's a great time to have a telescope. Regards

Corkingly crisp images Ray!!!!
I can only hope I can get as good as that with my 8" and a 5x barlow. Yet to try, but you have inspired me to give it a go.
Sensational for a 200mm newt.
Cheers

Hi Chris. thanks for your kind comments - and good luck with your imaging. Its fun trying to coax reasonable results from a smallish scope, but at least the mirror cools properly with just a fan. And then all you need is good seeing....... Regards Ray
Thanks Troy. Regards Ray
