Hi Guys, well who is a dill then, yea it's me.:rolleyes:

A couple of nights ago i was fiddling and replacing some leads on the back of our new 32 inch LG LCD, yep just 2 weeks old.:D:D

I had it leaning upright on the bench, swiveled it around, and then it promptly feel over and landed on the amplifier i was hooking up, face first.:eyepop::eyepop:

Yep you guessed it, it is stuffed, shattered the screen, lots of pretty colours though, :P as it was operating at the time.

Anyway, after saying some choice words, :tasdevil::tasdevil:the end result is a new LCD that is stuffed.

My question is this, is there anything one can do with a dead LCD.

Leon:thumbsup:

I think the only thing you could do with that is hang it on the wall as modern art.:P

Sorry to hear of your loss

Leon ... Would cost ya more to replace the LCD than buy a new one ... with the price of widescreen tele's now Ide be surprised if it wasnt identical to your excess anyway. I did a similare thing once ... well similar enough that the result was the same ... I know EXACTLY how stupid you feel ... OR is it that your sick of watching the cricket ???
Anyway, I know your enjoying yourself ... keep it up

Yea Jeff, I know what you mean by the excess.

Although the excess is only $100.00 we also have a rise in the premium next year by 10% which equates to about $200.00 for the year, and my rating 1 goes to rating 2.

So all in all we get back $349.00 from the cost of the TV, which costs $649.00.

We haven't sent in the claim yet and may not do so on these grounds, and just buy it out right, then keep our benefits on this policy in case we need it for something more serious.
