Now this one is interesting for those with digital media!
How many photos would you take in a session?
I myself have filled a 1 gig card in the camera and gone back for more :help3:

I am probably lucky my digital only takes 8mb card so I still have to think if the image is composed corectly and is the shot really worth the precious space on the card, I do have 4 memory cards though so at the highest res that works out to a total of 100 pics.

Depends on the session h0ughy. Anywhere from 256 up to a gig, including flats and darks

I tend to shoot in raw tiff format, averaging 11megs per image :P which kinda blows a mem card in no time. I try to limit it these days to 256megs in a single session, but I have shot 3gigs once on a weekend in the maountains!!! Downloading straight to notebook.

between 512MB - 1 gig but thats taking heaps of 1 minute exposures.....if your taking 5 min exposures I would probably only use around 250MB as a 5 minute exposure is around the same file size as a 30 second exposure....for me in Raw around 7MB for each raw.
Anyway they get stored directly to my PC or laptop so 100 gig laptop hard drive should be enough...lol
non-astro, 256mb wiht a 2pm mem stick :D
astro... just a few pics

I know that the camera I use is different to what you guys use but...
I use between 1 or 2 gig per session. But a drop in the ocean when you have 1512 gig storage capacity in the camera.
Plenty of room to practice, practice, practice. :)

For me it varies, from 512 to 1 gig. I have take up to 114x30 sec shots in one session. More importantly, there is usually only one object per session.
Ok then hOughy, Where are they? I haven't seen you post much!:nerd: :confuse3:

All my shots are in raw. So I frequently shot over a gig in a photoshoot. Doing a nude photoshoot (not the smutty variety) this weekend with a female friend so will probably take 2 gig worth.
Last year I took over 6k images, will need to get my camera services when I get to 20k, which will be in a couple of months.

LOL I know exactly what you mean. My last effort resulted in disaster after I discovered that I must have bumped the camera after the second frame. Everything else was out of focus after that. Oh well, another 4 hours wasted!!!!

Well just halved the number of images in one go today...:scared:
yip, was in too much of a hurry to remove a 512meg crad from the puter and as I pulled it!!! I saw the static flash from me to it!!!buugggerrrssss. :mad2:
It still works, but every third or so image is corrupt... even after formating, it still doing it...
