Playing with an Ipad

Hello all,
I am at my brothers place in Tassie and using his Ipad to see what has been going on - Ipads are great. I reckon they should be a little more computer like - usb access etc.

Gotta love the iPad, I loathe apple stuff and their marketting philosophy, buy the iPad/phone is a fantastic gadget.

There is a limited use USB adapter, it's for uploading images from pretty well any camera, I seem to remember seeing that you can also use a USB keyboard from that adapter.

The thing I hate about both devices is the compartmentailsed storage. Most files are stored within apps and transferring to & from PC can be a pain.

You'd better not mention the weather we you get back....:P

The weather down here was perfect last. Crystal clear. Best night we have had in ages.

We are staying in a suburb near Mt Rumney - a new estate.

We head back to Brisbane tomorrow morning - Tassie is a great place!

There are apps that make file storage and accessing them very PC like.

Cool I know Mt. Rumney. About 10 mins away from me. Mt. Rumney overlooks the uni of Tas's observatory at Mt. Canopus, about 2 kms to your N/W. Hope you enjoyed stay. Hope you don't get back to your house being washed away.
