Well took two nights worth of data to end 2010 and say i actually got something from the year - 10h 14min and a few seconds:D

ISO800 with the CLS CCD filter cooled 40D 127ED on the G11 with the new C11 sitting side by side. Seeing was poor

Stacked in DSS and processed in Pixinsight 1.61

going to see th 9pm fireworks in town but when i get back if it is clear i will image the HH to see in 2011;)

Nice job dave

Clean and well framed and the trap blend is excellent but you've just lost the colour in there is all, maybe that's the CLS filter?.

Nice way to finish the year :hi:

Happy New Year

Really off topic - i will be doing the family thing and take in the fireworks at 9 - then afterwards bringing them home and ditching them for midnight imaging till 4 am LOL btw look here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showpost.php?p=670607&postcount=253

BOT - do i need to bring up the green?

A great start, HOughy, what better target to begin with. Lots of sharp star points, blended with clarity in the dust cloud...nice to see both!

Mate, I am so pleased you have finally finished your dome, I am going to need some tips from you about how to get such a development past the Development Officer (aka SWMBO).

Happy New Year!

Data is king - you only need to look at what Mike et al do, though i cannot even dream of getting what they do?

Excellent image David. :)

You might explain what "10 hours-worth" of data means to those here who may not necessarily know.

I imagine your per-sub exposure time will be different now with the cooled camera - or are you maintaining similar times but with less noise at maybe higher sensitivity (800 vs 400ISO)?

Nice image David, Must be a big beast now that it is all together. Love to see a picture of the setup now. How did you go balancing the whole lot?

It's so good to see all of your efforts with dome progress over the months finally coming together.

Look forward to seeing what the doghouse produces in '11.

Here is the second rendition of the first image - slightly adjusted the colour chanels in Pixinsight. I know i probably should have used photoshop but i managed to get the green in the core as well as the Blue and the whitish outer loop, defined the cosmic dust better - I like it so thats what Counts

Repro is the first image - the "original" is the second
