Hi All,

Imaged Jupiter very early last night in quite windy conditions. Was rather surprised with the level of detail visible in the live feed. There was a ripple going through it that was variable but even so the fine detail remained. As Jupiter sank lower this ripple was more noticeable and effected the image quality.

Have attached 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set. The SEB revival below the GRS stretching along the Northern edge of the SEB has a distinct greenish tinge to it. Ganymede is on the Eastern limb.

Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor

Very nice Trevor. I figured you'd come up with some goods after looking at the map last night.

Very nice details. Pretty cool shot with the moon on the limb.

Thanks John, just about to go down and open the dome for Jup tonight, the jet looks worse than last night but the Skippy Sky forecast is heaps better, will see how it pans out.

Thanks Marc, reckon Gannymede right on the limb does provide a bit of a different look.

I'm not sure what or if you are doing anything differently Trevor, but I'm loving the look of your Jupiters lately. This one is a great example.

Nice images Trevor. Ganymede is well resolved considering it is right on the limb. :D

Thanks Ray, yes its nice to be finishing off the year on a high note.

Thanks Rob, I think it is more likely that my images of late reflect a general increase in the quality of the seeing that I have been most fortunate to have found.

Thanks very much Troy.

Thanks very much Jeanette, certainly provides a bit of a different look.
