We were just driving to our XMAS Lunch at friends and our access road is just starting to go under so we came back home so as not to get stuck away from the comforts of home most importantly IIS:thumbsup:

This road leads to our brand new$24million

FLOOD PROOF BRIDGE and when the water really gets here these cars would be nearly up to the roof. But it's ok the Bridge is flood proof.:screwy::rofl:

Anyone with 0.01% of brain matter would know to build roads in known trouble spots and areas of high rainfall as elevated bridges or causeways. Even poor countries like the Phillippenes have miles upon miles of highway elevated above known flood areas. But no, cheap as chips and "she'll be right" does the trick.

We have one like that near home. Every time it starts to really rain all the residents of the village (Tumbulgum) go park their cars on the bridge - the only dry spot in town. Great town planning 'eh!

Geeze, barely made it home today!! VERY heavy rain, and roads with water over them everywhere! Glad have a bigger car, and huge relief to make into my garage.
Been very wet and windy here, Xmas held sheltering inside airconditioned houses for sure as the rain pelted down at various angles, thanks to ex cyclone Tasha!!

Did it even get under 920 isobars? I didn't hear anything about strong winds from this one, it just vanished. The rotton thing is now sitting over the queensland east coast just dumping water. Enough of the water works.. please ....

Along the road to the Harbour called Harbour RD funnily enough:lol: trees were knocked down and atleast one shed we had strong winds but I didn't think that it was as bad as that it was very localised. We are fine here.
