Rising partially eclipsed Moon, 21 Dec 2010

Better late than never! :D View of the Moon rising above cloud that was hugging the horizon - taken from Clearspot Lookout near Bright, Victoria, with Canon 400D. Poor photographic return from what was a 'magical' event visually. It was a fantastic location, watching the rays of the setting Sun paint the ridges & spurs of the Vic alps orange, and seeing all the shades of blue of the darkening sky.
