It has now been designated C/2010 Y1 Santa-Kaufman, perihelion 14 hrs UT 24th Dec 2010 at a distance of 1 AU coinciding with it's close approach to Earth of 0.00000000001336917425 A.U., it has a low eccentric orbit of 0.0167 and a period of 365 days.
Amazing!
