That's a stunning image Max! The clouds really set that off.
Can you try re-saving with less jpeg compression? It's only 23kb. You can use up to 200kb to attach an image to the forum.

Oh that's awesome. I checked a couple of times but it was clouded over here in Waitakere. I managed to get at good shot of the partial last year though :)
Love that image Max!!! Looks 3 dimentional.

That is a really beautiful shot, the clouds streaming past looks magical. I suppose it was just a lucky capture. Maybe the werewolves will come out.

Very nice Max! Like the others said, the clouds drifting past really add to the image.
Cheers,

Hello Everybody and thanks a lot for your comments, I am glad you like it.
Mike,
I scaled the original down from 300 to 72dpi. It now fits just under the 200k limit.

Thanks so much guys. Initially I was totally devasted when I was waiting down at the beach for the moon to rise and all I could see was clouds, clouds and more of them.
Half an hour after the predicted time for mid-eclipse (thanks Mike for posting the details here on IIS) I went home, poured me a glass of wine and was about to call it a day. On a final look at the sky from my backyard I thought a horse had kicked me. Quickly I ran back in and grabed my cam and the tripod and started shooting. After the first few shots and a billion mozzy bites later I realised that I had something better than a 270mm lens for this task and ran for the Newton and the CG4. In no time I put it all together and started shooting again (no pol align, no tracking-and a nasty scratch as I fell over a flower pot in the dark).
The first 4 shots were done when I realized that something was wrong. They just weren´t anywhere close to sharp. I tried everything: delayed exposures, not stepping on the deck, mirror lock up.....then it dawned on me: 15sec at ISO 100 without tracking is just not going to work :) So up the ISO and down with the exposure time.
That was exactly 30sec before the little hole in the cloud cover disappeared.
I went to bed as a happy man...

Stunning shot.
Looks like something out of a scifi movie. Someone aiming a heat ray at one side of the moon trying to blow it up.
