What! My brand new observatory!!!
Ok, here's the thing - the 2.3m observatory is just a little tight for the 14", and I am planning an instrument even bigger so I would like to upgrade to the 3.5m dome should I find a buyer.
The package includes:
2010 2.3m Sirius dome with 2 bays in top condition
Maxdome II shutter and dome rotation
Solar power for shutter and dome controls
Pier for Meade scope (not the pegasus pier that I had specially commissioned, but a one at a more reasonable height for visual work from Star Optics).
New this would cost around $17k, but I got a deal on the dome so I can let the lot go for $12,500 which has got to be sweet.
