Hello all
total lunar eclipse here in the NH, and I have stayed up all night to image it.
The clouds cleared away just in time.

Nice Martin, very sharp and a lovely crimson red. Those volcanos in Iceland this year made all the difference to the colour.

Gorgeous pic!
Moon is behind clouds here atm, and of course the only clouds in the sky are on the eastern horizon!

Thanks a lot ladies and gents.
On the down side, pulling an all-nighter on a work day is not clever at all.

Great shots Martin.
The way I look at it I prefer to see the shadow portion closest to the fully eclipsed Moon, rather than the lit portion... seems more natural to me I suppose.

Gorgeous. You even got a few faint stars in the background as well.

Thanks all
Tony - but to do that, would be to orientate those images incorrectly i.e opposite to how the eclipse actually occurred right?

Not really, just reverse the order... After all the Moon is rising, isn't it? Oops, just realised that the event was in the morning for you and it was setting. But hey the Moon is upside-down anyway, down in the northern hemisphere :D.

Ah! I suddenly see why you would suggest that!
