Hi All,
Skywatcher Binoculars for sale. I think the description says it all. Black in colour with the normal celestron orange graphics. Just used sparingly.
Comes in a case, and has the 1/4 20 mount / stalk for tripod mounting.
Can send pictures if you PM me.
Pretty much perfect working order, but I bought some IS binoculars and MMMM not much use for it now - hence saying it is 'pretty much perfect'!;)

At 15 times magnification, would you consider it easy to view through these while simply holding them or are they really only going to be wasted without a mount/tripod setup?

I've been using a standard set of 7×50's binoculars at home and by propping my elbow against something solid (usually the ground, laying on a blanket) I can get fairly steady views of stars, planets, constellations and even some deep space objects.

Unfortunately mine are only a cheap pair and the focus is starting to become a problem (even slight pressure on the rubber around the eyepieces changes the focus in that eye) so I'm looking to upgrade to something a little higher quality while waiting on acquiring my first telescope. Just scared off a little by the magnification levels.

Sent PM regarding pictures.

Thanks

Hi Patrick - Twice the light and twice the magnification of yours. The focusser is OK - fine in fact. But I wouldn't use it handheld for skywatching. OK for short periods of time - very short - because they weigh 1.5 kg.
