well the old Rodstar (yes we can call him old now) turns 41 to-day
i guess we are not going to see him at the PC to-nite, oh well.
likely reason being, one or three, tooooooo, many bottles of RED being consumed i would think.
Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy
hope we all catch up soon

Hey everyone, sorry for taking several days to find this thread! Life has been hectic in the Berry household! We have just returned from a few days in Wollongong, where my wife was conferred her PhD - we thought we would make a mini-holiday of it!
Yes, 41 is not so cool an age as 40, but on the bright side of things, I am on a straight trajectory for 42, which may assist with embracing the meaning of the universe....(as per Douglas Adams).
Nice to hear from so many good folk, thanks for thinking of me. I have been very quiet on the astronomy front in recent months, taking a breather and enjoying other facets of life. HOWEVER, I have been doing some astronomy reading in recent days, and have been looking wistfully at Orion on recent nights, so I think I might just wheel out that grab and go scope of mine, and get my fix of photons.

Hey Petra,
We have started receiving mail already addressed to Mr and Dr R Berry, it is odd because I inadvertently get a doctorate!!!!
Are your studies in Radio Astronomy, or general astronomy etc?? Where are you enrolling? Good luck, whatever your study plans. In my experience, no study is wasted, regardless of whether you end up employed in the specific discipline of your study.

Hi Rod
I have applied to ANU to undertake a BSc (Major Astronomy and Astrophysics) or my second selection BSc Communication. Just finishing up my HSC in Physics and Maths and will hopefully get an offer in mid Jan 2011.
Crossing fingers and toes....
Cheers Petra d.
