Hopefully these are the worst out of the bunch of AVI's I took this morning.

Quite dissapointing really. No jetstream present (according to the map) but the seeing was about 4-5/10 tops.

Better luck next time.

That Jupiter looks like it's got eyelashes above the GRS lol.

6" refractor & toucam.

I don't know Asi, they look pretty good to me :) - there's a hell of a lot of detail as you say on joops belts, it looks like real detail and not some processing effect but quite unusual?

cheers,

well done you got the shadow of io - above the grs.

i am also getting that fringe on the right hand side where the belts go to the edge....it looks wierd?????

from 4:08 and 4:12, these are the raw mode images taken over 2 minutes at 5fps. only got 400 odd images that cut it and even then, the video was quite messy.

as you can see i have the wierd edge on the left.

From this point on, i went back to normal toucam mode at 10 fps and hopefully 800 to 1000 frames each time

The weird edge your referring to Dave, don't forget jupiter is showing a slight phase to us, so that limb is in slight shadow. I think that has a lot to do with it..At least you captured Io....I could just see Io on the laptop every now & then because of the crap seeing conds.

Yours look good to me Davo.

Robert. Jury's out this end...not sure what to make of that 'detail' :confuse3: I have more AV's to process...that should tell us if it's detail or sensor 'gunk/dust' or from processing?

No Mr. Ving....actually there is dust on the sensor, but it's on one extreme edge....I always make sure I position the/a planet where dust won't interfere with the image. (In the centre) ;)

Thanks guys.

Dave P. were your jup's taken at the same time as Johns? It'll be interesting to see your's after more processing.
