The telescope was purchased new and is in excellent condition. The optics are excellent. There are a few small marks on paintwork of the OTA which are cosmetic only, but overall the telescope still looks like new.
Telescope has always lived in its protective case inside my home.
Specific details as follows:
Meade 10" LX200
f/10, 2500mm focal length
heavy duty fork mount
computerised go-to with 64,350 onboard object library
EMC super multicoatings
high-precision (1 arcmin) pointing
periodic error correction (PEC) training
8x50 viewfinder
AC power supply
original manuals
Accessors
Meade field tripod with added wheels, good for moving around
High quality hard protective carry case, with die-cut fitted foam insert (similar to a JMI case, but Meade branded)
full aperture (10") Thousand Oaks Type 2 glass solar filter
26mm Plossl eyepiece
1.25" diagonal
piggyback bracket for astrophotography
Selling all of the above for only $2,750.
Replacement cost for a new 10" LX200 and JMI hard carry case would be in excess of $6,500!!
I am based in Adelaide, but could arrange shipping (at buyer's cost) to elsewhere. Serious buyers are welcome to inspect the telescope to see how well it has been looked after.
