Between the flags

Hi all,

Here's a shot of Main Beach at Noosa, taken on a trip with the family last weekend. I'm not sure if I prefer the first version with the "triangle" of yellow and red (which is what initially caught my eye), or the cropped version. What do you think?

I prefer the panoramic version, Stephen.

The kid and tent in the bottom left of the first image has a telecompression-type effect; it's subtle, but, it's there and is somewhat disjointed from the rest of the image.

But I prefer the first one as it is more in line with occasion which holidays:D
The second one makes things look so far away:shrug:

Thanks for your opinions Rick, Humayun, Ron and Shane. I can see what you mean about the telecompression effect H, but also agree with Ron that in the cropped version everything looks more distant. I guess these 2 effects work antagonistically...



No Shane, I was behind the camera. But the guy with the hat does look vaguely like me I guess.
