Taking offers between the 28th Nov and the 4th Dec for my RCOS 12.5 Ritchey Chretien telescope with zerodur optics and carbon fibre tube. If it dosent sell during that period, I'm going to keep it.

It has superb optics and I've taken many amazing DSO images with this scope. CCDInspector reports a field curvature of 9% and collimation of 0.1 arc secs in each direction.

This scope used to belong to Greg Bradley and was built in 1998. The scope also comes with:
1. Electrically focussed secondary (and paddle)
2. Fixed instrument adapter kit
3. Spare Astro Physics 2.7" rack and pinion focuser

There are a number of minor things that need to be mentioned:
1. Mirror needs realuminizing (currently has a high performance silver coating)
2. The paint on a part of the tube has cracked off in a area near the front of the tube and is flaking. it does not however affect the optical performance
3. The mirror has a very slightly downturned edged and I've masked that off with a 1/4" rubber sleve.

To see latest RCOS 12.5" offering follow the link below, list price from RCOS US$21,500 - I will consider all genuine offers over AU$9000. Worth it? That for you to decide

If you supply me with an email address, I will send images of the scope and some of DSO's that have I have imaged with this scope.

Will also consider part trade for high quality scope 1000-1700mm fl (Newtonian or APO refractor) suitable for imaging. In particular I would be interested in a TOA 130 or at a pinch a TOA 150
