Gday All,
I am considering selling my beloved 7" F15 MAK. :sadeyes:
It's a Sky-Watcher Pro-Series, gold edition - the one before the current Black Diamont.
It's in overall good condition, with the usual usage marks.
I have found the optics to be trully excellent: I just love the images this scope delivers!
Another great thing is that it retains collimation very well, so that's very convinient.
It comes with the original 50mm (not sure if it's 8x or 9x) viewfinder and an excellent aluminium case which is very sturdy: it's not only a storage case, but really a transport case. A plastic Bahtinov mask is also included.
It has a vixen dovetail.
This obviously is a planetary scope and ideal when living in the city. But I have found it to be really good on deep sky too as long as your targets aren't too large in size. I use it with a panopic 24mm and it works a real treat! The images are very crisp and sharp with great contrast.
I am still not 100% sure about the sale of this scope, it's such a great tube and I am addicted to its planetary images.
I don't get to use it as much as I'd like to though, mainly due to the weather conditions but also because my mount isn't quite good enough for comfortable high power observations.
The current Black Diamont version currently retails for $1700.
I'd be looking at $800 + postage (~$30) for this great scope.
Pick up is preferred from Eastern Sydney but I'll post Australia wide (If needed I'll determine if Auspost is ok or if courrier is required).
