Nice pair of images Peter. My choice is for the done nothing shot. It just has a much more natural look to it with so big a field to look at it just melts accross the whole field without drawing the eye back to the centre all the time.
Great field of view.

Thanks Doug, Dave.... yep the colour is not bad at all :D

More...eg RGB...data would have been nice... but the weather forecast does not bode well....:(

Gritty details: AP155 @ F5.3 with a custom AP supplied TCC-STX adapter.

Prefer the first rendition as the inner details were more pronounced but excellent work nonetheless. With the gear you have you need to seriously consider moving it to a dark sky obs where it will truly sing for you IMHO.

Thanks Marc.... the thought has crossed my mind more than once :)

However for narrow band (eg this image) you can shoot in a full moon with virtually no light pollution affects. Given our mainly urban population in Oz, I'm surprised more people are not out there capturing NB data...

Nicely processed image Peter. Yet another example of why you don't need colour all the time. Pure Ha images can be very impressive in their own right.

Cheers

Steve
