dont feel as though you have all the fun Ken - the whole east coast in in the same boat:rofl: especially the northern astronomers - its a tad wet up there.

it has been fine but cloudy here for the last few days - the air is thick with moisture.

it unfortunatelly gives one more time to look around, think they either cant have, afford, but desire and make unholy deals to obtain......:rolleyes:

 Yeah David, window shopping on the net (and drooling) is a good hobby when this one is stormed out :P

But I just spent all my money on a new Wireless Router, so even Net-window shopping is dangerous

don't get me started on Melbourne / Victorian weather. I can fill a multi-volume encyclopedia on the reasons I hate this sub ordinary pseudo-british climate

Too right. That crap stretches all the way from north to south. The only good place in Oz at the mo seems to be SA.

No Joy here either guys!!

I missed about 5 days over a two month period due to an electrical component being fixed and for the last two weeks ain't seen nothing but clouds.
Have been able to shoot through a few cloud holes on a couple of nights to get systems up to 100% readiness but half an hour is hardly an imaging session.

So I guess we'll have to wait and see what La Nina and the jet stream do for us over Xmas...

Not holding my breath though.

Hang in there.... we're all in the same boat!

All the best
Rich

Not in the SW of the state mate lots of green trees and forrests down this way :P:). Mudbourne weather (and east coast weather it seems) really sucks when it comes to astronomy.

Lake Eyre is below sea level by around 10-15 metres according to NatMap.

It is certainly a change in the weather patterns, be interesting to see what kind of a summer we will have, astronomy in general has been less than optimum for a large part of the second half of the year.... Along most of the east coast.
I didn't expect to have just about every weekend ( my chance to image) rained out.
Oh well.... At least the rain tanks are full;)

Don't wanna be the party pooper but reading all the posts below about water, creeks full etc... sounds bloody good too me after the past couple of years. The stars are still behind all that muck and there will be clear skies again no doubt. Last few times I drove out west NSW it's been great to see all the green everywhere. Let's try to keep all this water in I say.

Don't feel like an orphan Ken. The weather reports for here near the border are no better with just rain and storms the only things visible on the horizon. In fact the clouds are so low there is no horizon either.
The only way to see a str up here is to watch a movie on the box.
