The seeing was off, and I was doing some experimenting:P
This was never going to be a quality image and is way over processed:rolleyes:
But it was nice to be out:thumbsup:
Europa is a bit harder to see but is the dark mark to the right of the planet centre, where the SEB should be

Its all about getting out there and using your gear as often as possible Clayton. You need to experiment and find out what makes the live feed better, what makes it worst and what is just a total wast of time.

Over riding that are the obvious things, collimation focus and mirror temp, all of which are critical to a good result.

As you say, this is certainly over processed and very grainy but there is some nice detail in there trying to get out. Stick with it and above all else have fun and enjoy the challenge.

Cheers

Don't worry Rob, one night you are gonna crack that great seeing. When you do remember to load up with the barlow. Still a presentable image Rob.

Its pretty tough to get much detail on Jupiter with 80mm of aperture.
I thought your earlier efforts to be a good start.

That's may be true, but I still think I am doing something fundamentaly wrong.
