Hey. I grew up in Vancouver and then moved to London. If I get six clear nightts a year I figure its a bonus.
The sun scares me.

Its been a very bad year here too in S.E QLD,it has been so bad here,a few of the chaps in Brisbane have sold their astronomy gear and moved on to other hobbies.I am very seriously considering doing the same-after spending over 13K on a observatory and gear that gets little or no use-with these cloudy skies one really has given up on astronomy.

Ah it's all part of the fun and the uniqueness of Astronomy. Never in my life have I pursued an interest which is so dependant on so many conditions being right in order to get the best out of it.

And I figure, I'm in my early 30's, I've still got my whole life ahead of me to enjoy this hobby. What's the rush?

Yeah it's frustrating. In the months since I've had a chance to take my Telescope out, I've made a few purchases which I haven't had the chance to even use it. But like I figure, it's all part of the fun.

But there is one positive I can take out of the lack of use. Less spending! Everytime I go out I find there is something else I need/want which gets added to my wishlist. And that list is getting mighty big!

The day I give up will be the day my eyes give up due to old age.

Out of all this is the weatherman is getting this right all the time and when he says rain we get rain normally he says rain and out here we laugh.
Last week i ordered 26ton of cement out of sydney to come to white cliffs but when the truck turned up there was a thunderstorm which made the road impassible so i had to send him home luckily he could offload at Cobar.........So.........Here we go again another 25ton on monday 36 ton on tuesday and another 36 ton on Wednesday with the weatherman predicting rain ...So i have not stopped delivery as i hope he gets it wrong.

All up i have ordered 225ton to be delivered out here on my site
Yep me thinks it is going to be a wet summer (keeping the scope indoors).

Cheers Kev.

Maybe it's called, taking one for the team.

If Chris sells, maybe it will spell clear weather for everyone else :lol:
