G'day,

I have for sale one Swift Audubon 10x50 (aka `Kestrel') binocular in excellent condition. This is the slightly bigger sibling of the popular wide field Swift Audubon 8.5x44 birding glass. These Japanese made binoculars come with all caps and a soft case and feature a very wide 7° field of view (367 feet at 1,000 yards). They are also compact and light (~900g) for a 10x50 porro prism binocular and feel nicely balanced in the hand.

As a reasonably priced, general purpose 10x50 binocular I prefer these to anything available new today. I am only selling these binoculars because I have two of them - one pair was intended for my father but he took my Swift Audubon 8.5x44 binoculars instead because he finds the lower magnification easier to hold steady. That left the second pair of 10x50s to live in the cupboard unused (I am keeping my pair). These binoculars were recently serviced (reset prisms, clean through out, lube mechanical parts and collimate) by Nicolas Crista who was Swift's chief optical man when the company was based in Boston, USA.

Here's a link to Holger Merlitz's comparative review of these binoculars <http://www.holgermerlitz.de/kestrel10x50.html>. My price is $210 plus postage.

Clear skies and thank you for looking at my listing,

- ricky
