While I waited for my new target last night I took some subs of one of my favourite globulars 47 Tucanae. The seeing was quite good as it turned out and I think I got some nice resolution from the Tak 102.

I did not have any darks as the sub length so I had to use scale darks which I think affected the data a bit.

I am a bit annoyed at not getting any shorter subs as I thought this slight burn out could be controlled. Alas I was wrong.

Overall though I am happy with this image. I think I caught some faint galaxies in the surrounding field and there is another Globular nearby.

As I said before, I like this one Paul, will show up really nice once all data is completed...

Very impressive, Mr Haese!! There is a bit of noise there, but it isn't detracting at all.:)

Yeah checked the image tonight in best contrast conditions of night time and saw it myself. I am going to take care of that though with some smoothing. Thanks for pointing out.

A great quicky Paul, very well handled. 47 Tuc is hard to process to show 100% of the dynamic range present and leaving the very inner core slightly saturated is quite acceptable IMO, after all its nucleus is very compact.

That's very nice Paul. I like it. A bit of minor core burnout is fine with this object as it adds to what it looks like visually.

Very nice Paul, It's a hard target to image without some core burnout. I know I have never managed it without some burn out.
Getting some nice star colour in this image. Something I am fighting with using the 10".

Can you put up a low-res image here mate?

Nice one Paul - great star colour and good dynamic range. Yep, great resolution too! A little noise in the darker areas maybe and slightly too much burnout in the core, but that's being picky. Overall a great image!:thumbsup:

Thanks Paul, that is just lovely mate. I didn't even know there was another GC next to it in the distance.

Good work son.

That's a nice shot Paul. I wouldn't worry about the slight burnout because the resulting image is a pretty good match for what it looks like anyway. NGC 121 looks nice over to the left too.

Cheers
