Short notice: Sydney photon starved astro junkies, tonight, Sunday @ Randwick

Salutations, fellow Astro Junkies,

Hickny & I will be at Randwick Girls' High School oval tonight, Sunday, for a desparate fix if the sky is clear, :astron: :help3: .

Fellow Astro dependants will be most :welcome: to get their fix too.

The school grounds will be open from 8pm. Entry is via the roundabout on Barker St where the hospital entrance is also, near Avoca St.

It is very short notice, but that is the nature of Sydney's fickle weather necessitates such measures.

Hopefully the clear sky holds.

you guys got a decent evening? Skies looked ok.

Yeah Sylvain.
Mental4Astro, CraigS and I turned up around the 8pm mark. The sky did get darker but unfortunately there was far to much light from the surroundings for anything other than the brightest objects.
We did however see a shadow transit on Jupiter and we used a OIII filter on the Tarantula nebula. We packed up and left by 11:30pm.
