Just a few basic images from my first session with 10-22 mm lens.

The first two,I used a circular polarizing filter, image 1 is at 22 mm and image 2 at 10 mm,taken from the door way of my observatory.

And,I was very lucky for a few minutes last night to have no clouds for half and hour,so I quickly set up and did some very basic night view images.

1,pegasus.

2,orion area at 10 mm

3,orion area at 14 mm (look at all that dreadful light pollution from Sunshine Coast).

The focus may be a bit out. What is the best way to focus these wide field lenses at night sky?,I have a lap top and live view feature in camera.Next time I will connect it all up,(if these clouds ever go away).

I think Mike and someone else was wondering what this lens is like,so I hope this may be of interest to those people, and others.

Thanks for looking,Chris

Very nice pics of the land & clouds. The lens certainly looks like it is performing well. A faily severe test is to take a 10mm shot of a slightly curved ocean horizon and see if it stays true. Not sure about the star results - 3rd star image focus is out slightly.
