Hi All,
This has been withdrawn. I recently took the gear to a darksite and have decided to keep it. Thanks to all those that enquired.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Last Price Drop before I recable everything in my obs and keep it for another imaging season.
$5,300 for scope basics package or $6,500 for the lot (willing to take 6,000 exluding the much sort after ultrawedge).
Dont forget if you are planning on imaging, you will need to dovetail bar, counterweights and wedge, these are all good quality and worth it.
The Base Package Now: ($5,300)
Meade 12" LX200R GPS
Meade 8 x 50 finder scope
Meade series 5000 diagonal
Meade 26mm 5 element plossel eyepiece
Meade Giant Field Tripod (this thing is big! the legs are 9cm in diameter)
Meade multi-speed Electric Focuser
Power: Mains Adaptor with Cigarette lighter adaptor fitted and appropriate cable so can be used either from mains or battery.
Scope buyer can Add all these extras below worth over 2k for only $1200 more... Package total: ($6,500).
Meade Ultra Wedge
Counterweight system with 2 adjustable weights (http://www.starstuff.com.au/counterbalancekits.html (http://www.starstuff.com.au/counterbalancekits.html))
Dovetail Bar Kit (With two sliding Brackets - Need to fit your own Rings) (http://www.starstuff.com.au/piggyback_kits.html (http://www.starstuff.com.au/piggyback_kits.html))
Telrad Finder
Astrophysics 2" visual back replacement. Replaces the SCT thread at the back of the scope with a 2" fitting with 3 large thumbscrews. Allows you to fit 2" accessories directly to the back of the scope rather than having to unscrew using SCT fitting which can be a pain.
All this is worth well over $8,000 at current prices (close to 8500).
Due to the size / weight of the items, it is Pickup only I think (I have no idea how to ship something this big).
I am in Geelong region (close to melb) and have the original box for the scope if required (its big).
Being the LX200R model it has the coma free optics that are on the current lx200 ACF models and Mirror Lock for excellent imaging, etc.
The scope is in excellent condition housed in my observatory. There was one previous owner who looked after it well and only used it a few times.
The optics are very clean with no scratches. The collimation is still excellent, I have never had to adjust the collimation ever.
I have posted some images below. Discovered its pretty hard to get a good image of such large optics hehe, you end up photographing reflections. The item is available for inspection as it is still setup in my obs. Let me know if you need more info.
