Hi all,
I have for sale a German-equatorial mount which appears to be an EQ3 clone. The mount is in good working condition but has a few usage marks. Please take a look at the attached pictures, I tried to capture the condition as truthfully as possible. You will notice that two of the tripod knobs lost their plastic grips, they can still be adjusted using a 10mm spanner (included :) ).

Included with the mount are:

the original aluminium tripod with metal accessory tray
an 18mm counter-weight bar with two counter-weights (1.5kg and 3kg)
a set of tube rings with a bit over 170mm inner diameter
an RA drive motor with hand controller and battery holder.

I'm asking $120 for the lot. Given its weight and bulk and lack of packing material I would prefer not to ship the mount.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Steffen.

Nice shots. I'll have to get you to take the photos of my equipment that I'm planning to sell.:)

What make is the spanner?

sorry - couldn't resist. Good luck with the sale. Nice package for someone who wants to try their 6" dob tube unit on RA-driven EQ mount - start tracking Jupiter at high magnification!!

Meh, not really. The lighting is fairly haphazard, but one of my strobes was playing up and I didn't want to spend too much effort on a $120 sale :P

Haha, you crack me up! I actually went to Bunnings for replacement knobs, but they only had Whitworth threaded ones, I needed M8…

Cheers
Steffen.

If you call within the next ten minutes and pay by credit card I'll throw in the batteries. Sorry, I don't have any steak knives to give away… ;)

Cheers
Steffen.
