Hi,

Taken last night (thankyou Paul for that lovely dark sky) through a Williams Optics Flt 110. Guided with PHD and stacked in DSS and processed in Photoshop.

Three hours worth of Hydrogen Alpha and I will have to get the colour data soon. The subs were 15 minutes each and had 12 before I had to quit. I do not have any darks for this time frame so used my darks for 10 and 20 minutes as well. That might be sad. I had to crop the edges of my image and for some strange reason the image that came in seemed more rectangular than normal (longer). It could have been me.

I also had to throw in the inverted image as yes I think that looks pretty cool to.

Any feedback more than welcome.

Maybe some 5 minute exposures for the core of the tarantula and it will be perfect :)

Have to agree with Marty there is a nice cluster right in the core whic hoften gets drowned out in Spider shots

Very nice Mark, You may have to wind the saturation back a bit to use this along with RGB data but it certainly is a nice start to a great image.

I like the overall detail and the framing.

Great field that Mark and I like the negative version :whistle:.

The thumbnails look great but when the larger image opens it looks to have had some noise work applied that has smoothed out some detail..? Or have you perhaps used shadow highlights in PS..?

I can't recall, what camera do you use..? (or have I missed it written somewhere? :rolleyes:)

Hi Mike and others,

I am just finishing my colour shots as I type this. I have processed this to the best of my ability and at the end used some actions such as space noise reductions and then I used unsharped mask to tighten things up. Any recommendations???
