Greetings...

I have been introduced by a colleague of mine about astronomy and this website. And quite enjoy the forums and discussions here.
Here are the shots I took last week trying to capture a glimps of orionids, but without much of success. ( I had combined the shots into a wmv file - see attached zip file)
However any suggestion will be very appreciated. :)

I don't think you captured any, Howard? I've never been very successful. Hundreds of frames in a night and the occasional streak!

I've looked at it: you have captured Orion well.

Now try stacking the individual frames: Iceman has an article on how you do that.

Cheers

:welcome: Howard ... am sure you will enjoy the big learning experiences and discussions on IIS.
I also love meteor showers, but very tricky to capture them, and then there may be only 1 or 2 on the shot.
I will be out againfor the Leonids in November.

:) The first is definately intriguing, the second is more like a aircraft. The mottled appearance of the first streak would seem as if it was breaking apart, either space junk or a meteor.

I would be very happy if others could advise.

Great imaging and have a great time on IIS.:welcome:
