For sale... I'm going full frame, so this guy has to go. It's been a brilliant camera - I love it to bits.

1 x Canon 40D DSLR with Live View - only 12,500 shutter actuations This is the first Canon camera to feature a 14-bit sensor.

1 x Canon 18-55mm EFS Image Stabilised Lens (near new)

1 x AC power pack - battery eliminator (no need to run on batteries for long exposures)

1 x Phottix timer remote

2 x BP 511A Li-ion 1390mAh Canon batteries

1 x Canon battery charger

1 x Magic Lantern DVD guide for 40D

Neck strap, box, original manual and software

$700 including postage to any Australian city

Sample photo of B33 region is from this camera, and is a single 15 minute frame at ISO800 at prime focus on my Takahashi Sky-90@f/4.5 The image is a bit crunchy here as it's highly compressed.

Hi Chris, is the sensor pretty tidy, I would expect a couple of dust spots, but over all how would you rate it.

Hi there Leon :) How're your travels going? Having fun?

This unit looks very clean to me. I've looked after it like a baby - and as a previous Tak owner you'd know how we tend to be pretty precious about our gear - I think it's probably a trait. I've just flipped the mirror up with the manual clean menu option and it looks literally spotless. The thing is new inside.

A big G'Day to the better 'arf! :hi:

Thanks for that Chris, yes mate I did expect it to be spot on, ;) as you I'm very particular about my stuff as well.
I probably should not have doubted that, my apologies.:ashamed:

Our trip is so good I may not come home,:lol: Alice says hi as well.

I'm considering your camera, but just leave it with me overnight and I will get back to you, but please sell if you get another offer.

Leon:thumbsup:

I am interested in the body only. Let me know in case you want to split later on. Cheers.

Cheers Vincent, but as body-only it won't be much cheaper in reality. I'd be looking for $750 for that on its own. The lens and accessories are a bargain here. :)

Looking at eBay and other auction sites for a better indication of market value, I've re-priced this complete ensemble down to $700 shipped to anywhere in Australia. "Buy-now" on eBay are currently asking AU$700 and up for the body alone. This is a good value deal I reckon, and I won't be going any lower. At least you know what you're getting - a camera that has been pampered by an amateur astronomer rather than belted around the traps. Thanks for looking

Hi Chris,

I'm thinking about your camera package. Can you tell me what its worth new and also do you have a camera bag with it?

Thanks

Rayleigh
