For Sale Two flip mirrors, by J&R Optical Co. Ltd, (possibly Taiwanese). These have been modified by attaching micro switches to facilitate an external (2 LEDS, red and green)
"device" to indicate the position of the mirror, avoiding strams of Camera exposure with the mirror in the wrong place, a frequent occurrence with me. Each comes with a set of fittings to fit to telescopes with "t"male threads, 2" female fittings, or SCT 2" male threads.
And one cable with a plug to fit the microswitch connector, and a circuit diagram of a
suitable adapter (easy to make at low cost - I just do not have the time). These devices
in use reveal that the viewed by eyepiece is very silghtly offset from the CCD'd image. Once seen this is easlily accomodated and never proved a problem to me inb useOn the attached photos this "uses up" items 16 (original boxes), 1 & 2, flip mirrors, 1,5,9 &11 for one unit and 4,7,8 &10 for the other. The female opening of the unit goestowards the Telescope and the male to the "striaght through" CCD or what ever. For each unit I am asking $50 plus P&P. Additional adapters:
#2 Female 2" SCT thread to male Pentax thread (42 x 0.1 mm) for SCT not flip mirror.
#3 Female 2" SCT thread to male "T" thread (42 x 0.75mm) for SCT not flip mirror
#7 Male to fit flip mirror telescope end with female 42x 0.75 mm (T) thread
#12 Female to fit CCD side of flip mirror to 1 1/4" eyepiece holder with two retaining screws.
#13 Female (to flip mirror) to fit CCD 2" female thread
Any of these adapters for $10 each inc reg post, additional adapters @$7 inc reg post.
