Hi - another question for the cooled DSLR owners on the forum.
Do you still use the 'in camera noise reduction' when imaging?
Is it necessary, or a redundant waste of imaging time!?
I would have thought that ICNR might remove that last little hot pixel.
Cheers
Doug:thumbsup:
Dougie I don't know about the cooled camera that much, but I have always used ICNR with the Modded DSLR, and found it quite useful.

well you can get away with only a few dark frames as the cooling gives you an unequalled edge over a normal DSLR. but make yourself a dark frame library with cooling from different temperatures and exposures.

I'm glad you came to this realisation yourself and saved me the trouble of beating you over the head with a stick! :poke:;)

houghy's right here too.. if you do a test with and without dark frames you'll be surprised how little difference it makes. they'll get rid of the odd hot pixel but otherwise make no improvement to the rest of the image.
Automatic in camera flat frames would be the bees knees :eyepop:
