The great scope clearance continues:






Looking for EOI's/Offers on a the following:

Classic Meade LX50, 10"/254mm f/10, EMC Super Multi-Coated Optics
Magellan II Hand Held Unit and cables etc
Tripod & EQ Wedge
8 x 50 Finder
Car power adaptor/lead
Another reluctant sale :sadeyes:, but if offers are unreasonable I will be keeping.

This is a great scope, made in USA :thumbsup: (and not China!) and comes in original Meade packaging foam box.

In the spirit of disclosure the tripoid is a little rusty (but could be easily cleaned up) and one of the attached roller wheels a little wobbly (kinda like a shopping trolley :lol:). But otherwise everything else is good!:thumbsup:

G'day Again

I have added some photos. I wasn't able to get any new photos added this weekend (wife had me working in the graden :() but I had some old ones that I found so I have added them in the interim.

Photo 2: Is the actual scope (I have cut myself out of the photo, figured no-one would want to see me!)

Hi All

For all those who asked please find new photos attached below and the original photos in the first thread entry at the bottom.

As you can see the scope is stored and kept in original packaging from Meade and as such should ship very safely (I also have the mirror locking bolt). The scope has been kept in the box at all times when not in use so has been well looked after.

Very good optics made in the USA! :thumbsup:

The marks on the oustide of the scope tube are sticky tape glue which will clean off no problems, this is from tape that I use to securely keep the scope cap/cover on when in transit or storage.

I must say that after getting this scope out of storage it is becoming a reluctant sale for a excellent and reliable 10" SCT scope. :sadeyes: But I have to make way for new acquisitions!

This cannot go by AusPost I have checked on their limits, so must go by courier. Hope this assists those interested in working out and organising their own transport/courier. You may be able to get a better deal by shopping around.

As a guide for freight costs for the whole thing (both boxes) for pick up on a Mon 15 NOV 10:

A recent quote for Adl to Melb was:

1. Road Express $70
2. Off peak Air Express $117

A recent quote to Adl to Bris was:

1. Road Express $130
2. Off peak Air Express $236

In all cases delivery was quoted as 1-5 days.

Yes this scope is still for sale. I have a number of PM's still to reply to but at the present time nobody has actually committ to purchase until freight is worked out. So if you want it committ, first in best dressed!

For those that I haven't replied to yet will have to do this tonight as I have to get off to work!

For those who have queried what comes with the scope it is exactly as listed. Lets keep in mind its a 10" SCT which is a bargain in anyone's language!

Item is now sold. It has gone to its new home with Pete where I am assured it will be given more of a work out than it ever got with me.

I still have a 6" refractor (Brand New in Box - RRP $1099) available for purchase at $500 or trade for either Coronado PST or an EQ5 goto mount in good condition.
