I wonder what it would look like with say 400 or 800 iso and a slightly longer exposure.? very nice, and the focus looks good too

Hi John, lovely cluster shot and some nice colour differences obvious.:) Have you looked at taking a few shots and stacking up (if them pesky clouds stay away for a few minutes).
cheers,

Had the techno gremlins working against me on Saturday night, I did 10 shots to stack, only got that one to come out alright, rest had streaks, guiding errors and other problems. Ah well, the joys of learning. At least I was happy with the focus on that shot.

Very nice John!
Where's Bermagui?
Can you come to Lostock? :)

This is a shot with three 4 second exposures, more what you see visually.
Bermagui is on the far South Coast of NSW, just south of Narooma, Bega is the nearest large town. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend Lostock. (This time anyway)

Nice images John, the 350D is certainly proving to be a good astrophotography camera.:camera:

well guided and focussed, the scope does a good job right to the corners too, no visible coma :)
