Logan, without turning this into a filter debate Thread, be aware that not all IR/UV filters are the same.
Different brands have different cut-off points.
For the Philips Toucams/900NC's I found the GSO IR/UV filter to be the worst so try avoiding those.
I found Astronomiks 'L' IR/UV filter the best.
I hope you find one suitable for you. :thumbsup:
Just making you aware so you don't buy the 1st one that comes along thinking that they all do the same thing :)

Good timing! Saw that el' cheapo listed at Andrews, and was going to collect one on Saturday! Will hold out...

I think all el-cheapo's are teh same. I have one as well although they are producing reasonable images of Jupiter i do have to process some of the issues including a significant amount of purple around the edge of Jupiter. I know it is not the scope or the Barlow as my DSLR images are free of that colouring with it's inbuilt filter.
I am looking at purchacing a better UV/IR possibly Baader to go with my lense as well.
