Hi All,

Here's my work in progress, The colour data is noisy, I need some more.

Also there are some processing artifacts around the bright stars, this one needs star removal. Fred, can you send me your method, it seems to work well.

LRGB image with Deep Sky Instruments RC10C, SBig ST-10XME etc.
380 minutes L, 30 minutes for each colour.

Cheers
Stuart

Yeh see what you mean re the stars Stuart but not that big of an issue really, have you used a shrunk'em process at all? The rest of the signal is great, overall the image looks pretty good

Some very nice detail in the nebula, particularly showing the knots to the inner edge, very tight small stars ... Except for the flared ones, they look like diffraction rings, yet the image does not suggest a lack of focus. Quite to the contrary.

Ooh yummy data there; that's lookn nice.
Can't wait to see one of these bad RC10C's in the flesh too :)

A lot of detail in the Nebula Stuart.

Can you delete those stars and layer the stars back in from an earlier version of the processing where they were OK? Or process the image again just to get the good stars and layer them in on this image.

Greg.

Yep, that's pretty delicious.

However, I think it can do with a lot more brightening. At the moment is seems a bit dull and lacking in contrast. A few simple curves and levels iterations will see this through.

Very nice Stuart. Lots of detail coming through but i agree you could do with a bit more exposure to work with.
