Been tidying up my photo library and decided to repro some landscapes into B&W conversions. These were taken on our trip to NZ last year.

These were all hand-held. Wish I hadn't left my tripod at home. I'd have loved to be able to do longer exposures to get the water nice and smooth.

I'd really appreciate your comments and critique. Be brutal. I can take it. I love viewing top notch quality landscape photos, and I know what I like to see. But it's harder to take the shot and process your own. Exposure, composition, processing, whatever comes to mind.

I love the first one  but the rest don't do much for me .you should process the first one in colour and post it.

Thanks mate. The first one in colour doesn't really add that much, as most of the FG is grey rocks anyway. I did do a kind of desaturated look that isn't too bad, but really feel the B&W is much stronger result.

I liked the first two pics in B&W. The third one didn't do much for me. I do prefer the B&W version of the first pic to the colour one.

Cheers,
Rick.

Very nice Troy much better in B&W than colour the first one looks like a red filter used to darken the sky .
First and second do it for me the third looks a bit flat but thats the land of the long white cloud after all.

thanks
