Cobbers,
I'm at home crook with tonsillitis and the forum is a bit quiet so I thought I would share some of my China photo's with IIS. This photo was taken in South west China and is called Mingyong Glacier. It was pretty awsome waking up to this. A few days after I took this photo resting in a town called Dali I joined IIS, Pretty sad eh :P

Yeah it's great. I live in WA flat as a tack no 'real' mountains and then to be amongst the giants in the Himalaya's sort of blows you away. :)

Nice shot, glaciers are so cool :cold::lol:
Ive been up on the Athabasca in Canadian Rockies a couple of times, and am hoping to see some others next month.

I went to Bendigo once!
Nice travel pic Micko. Definately looks to be away from the usual 'Tourist Route'. Most of the good stuff is supposedly away from the tourist routes.

Nice shot! You should have entered it in the monthly comp! It is after all water in it's solid form.

LOL! I have covered a lot of Oz, but never been overseas! (except Tas). I love to hear peoples stories of other countries as I'll probably never get to go OS.

Ken Im the opposite, ashamed to say Ive seen relatively little of Oz outside of NSW. Spent a few days here and there in Canberra, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Avalon (for the airshow).
But Ive visited more than 15 different countries some more than once mostly for holidays and some for work. Always towards the end Im looking forward to coming home.
I could bore you sensless with tales of my travels.
Theres no place like home, theres no place like home, theres no place like home.....

I think I got to this place just in the nick of time cos in the next few years this place may be swarming with tourist's. When I got back to Oz I noticed in a doctors surgery an article in a singapore airline in-flight mag about this region (Kawa karpo mountains) and being so spectacular it is only a matter of time when the tour groups arrive.
Once I've up loaded more of my travel pics I will post them on IIS.

Great Shot Micko !
This is one of mine from back in 98 at Mt Cook NZ.
The flight around Mt Cook was definately the highlight of my trip there.
it still amazes me that ice can flow like a river (albit a slow one!)

Very nice Micko.. the second one would be great with a ND or graduated filter of some kind so that the sky didn't get overexposed. That way the ice capped tops of the monutanis would stand out more.
Lovely pics. So much to see in China, a very photogenic place. Would love to go there one day.
