Hello! I prepared a small atlas for beginners, http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Observing_the_Sky_from_30%C2%B0S, with a set of 24 maps for observers located at 30°S and tables about some double and variable stars and almost 160 deep-sky objects. These maps may also be used between 36°S and 24°S without any notable difference.
The atlas contains also maps of 8 selected areas of the sky suitable for binoculars, with a short description of these regions.
This atlas has a PDF version available here http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Observing_the_sky_from_30%C2%B 0S.pdf (88.4 MB) and ready to print, keeping in mind that this is an "atlas", so the print format for its pages has to be in A3 papers or similar size.
Furthermore, be aware that this may be a "beta version": I mean, there may be some typos to fix (many typos are already fixed, but I don't know if in future I'll find new ones that are still there).
