Was lucky to get some OK seeing last night. Generally about 7.5/10 but with some brief good moments.

Yup, very good. Nice smooth colours. The 2x barlow works well for you.

Nice work Clayton, glad it cleared for you.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday are looking to be just about the best GFS predictions for the year so far.
Well done

Thank's very much Dave and Trevor
I recently purchased a 2,5x Barlow but think it's a dud in early trials due to color dispersion in one axis. I will give it another chance or two before I hit it with the "big" hammer:eyepop::rofl:

Good going Clayton. You've certainly captured some detail there:thumbsup:
Looks like your LXD55 is stable - I really need to retrain mine. How are you finding the mount?

To be honest, the mount is a piece of rubbish! But it's adequate and I can't afford to upgrade for a while. I took some time to polar align(PA) fairly well then drilled some small holes in the concrete pathway that is it's base to locate the tripod feet, then I refined my PA with my own technique where when setting up for the first time on my holes and using the menue for German Equatorial. I would let it slew to the first star, then instead of using the hand paddle to centre the star I would use the Alt Az adjustments on the mount. A few iterations of this and Jupiter now stays on the chip for a few minutes .. I don't have enough sky to drift align properly

Thanks Beren, Boris, and Michael.
The Toucam is on loan to me from Darryl who kindly took pity on me after seeing my early results on the SAC7. I think in better hands, and on the right gear on the right night it would still sing a beautiful song:P

Nice image Clayton! Yeah the 840K is a nice lil' cam...I'm going to stoke my 900NC up on Jupiter again soon for 'old times sake' Nothing like going back to basics to see how much one has learnt..
