Suddenly I don't feel so bad that I haven't imaged for months.
Thanks, Chris.

I just joined the ESO User Portal Humayun. Looks interesting! Might get to use FitsLib on some real data... how cool is this? :)
Hi Chris.

Excellent prizes, hey Gary. Good luck all :)
I've just ordered my first dataset - based on NGC2070 taken in 1999 by the FORS2 instrument. It's only small (a couple of meg) just to get a feel for the selection, ordering and delivery process. It'll be interesting to see what comes down the line.

Here's what came down - opened in CCDstacker.
It's going to be an interesting exercise just to get to know what we're looking for in the dataset selector. LOL!

Did anyone here submit images for the competition? The winners have been announced and there are some very nice images among them: http://www.eso.org/public/news/eso1102/
This is the winning image, a spectacular M78: http://www.fireplant.com/eso/M78WFI_R5x3min_G3x3min_B3x3min_size 50.jpg
